Academic Common Market

Through the Academic Common Market, students in participating states may be able to attend out-of-state schools without paying out-of-state tuition if the academic program they seek is not available at a public university in their home state.

About 150 institutions from the following states participate in the Market at the undergraduate and graduate levels: Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. Florida, North Carolina and Texas participate only at the graduate level.

For information about and certification for the Academic Common Market, write to the Alabama Commission on Higher Education, P.O. Box 302000, Montgomery, AL 36130-2000 or call (334) 242-2209.
